A Capital Project is an investment of $50,000 or more with a minimum life expectancy of 5 years. For example:

- Street Paving and Bridge Repair/Replacement
- Upgrades/Replacement of a playground/pool/ballfield
- CDBG funding

Requests that are NOT part of the Capital Budget:
- hiring more police (salaries are paid through the Operating Budget)
- Increasing bus routes (the Port Authority is part of the County)
